We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will focus on enhancing website functionality, optimizing performance, and ensuring scalability within a fast-paced financial services environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality web solutions.
Responsibilities :
- Build and customize new pages in WordPress while maintaining and updating existing ones.
- Develop and implement complex design elements and features to enhance website functionality.
- Collaborate with designers and stakeholders using tools like Figma and Workfront to bring ideas to life.
- Diagnose and resolve WordPress-related issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Optimize websites for accessibility, SEO, and page speed to improve user experience.
- Customize and extend WordPress plugins to address specific business requirements.
- Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure website security and reliability.
- Follow coding standards and best practices for version control, documentation, and database interaction.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs, compatibility issues, and other technical challenges.
- Ensure that websites meet performance, responsiveness, and scalability standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with WordPress, including coding and optimization.
- Proficiency in page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, or WPBakery.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and strategies to enhance website visibility and performance.
- Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of UI / UX design principles and attention to detail.
- Experience with database interaction, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, diagnose problems, and provide effective solutions.
