The Opportunity

Dual Enrollment Coordinator — Competencies and Qualifications

Lighthouse Community Public Schools is looking for a talented Interim Dual Enrollment Coordinator to join our team. Our mission is to ensure that traditionally underserved students of color complete college, secure a career of their choice, and become lifelong changemakers. The Dual Enrollment Coordinator facilitates a partnership with some of our local community colleges to implement community college classes at both of our high school campuses. These community college classes are a central feature of our academic program and help students earn college credits, explore career interests, and prepare for life after high school. The Dual Enrollment Coordinator is an integral member of our College and Career Success Team.

Your responsibilities will include :

ESTABLISHING & MAINTAINING A DYNAMIC DUAL ENROLLMENT PROGRAM

  • Run LCPS’ dual enrollment program at Lighthouse and Lodestar. This includes 3 classes at Lighthouse and 2 classes at Lodestar. Community college professors will come into teach 1 day per week in each of these classes; you will support students to complete their work for these classes the other 1-2 class periods per week.
  • Maintain a case-management system where each student has the appropriate check-ins and support to ensure success in dual credit classes
  • Provide regular reports around student progress in dual enrollment classes to the Senior Director of College and Career Success.
  • Help recruit students / families for the dual enrollment program.
  • Ensure that a course agreement is in place for each dual enrollment course, which sets students up for success, and that this course agreement is adhered to by all parties at all times.
  • Promote LCPS’ dual enrollment program to students, staff, families, and the wider community by developing collateral, video testimonials, and feature newsletter updates for internal and external audiences.
  • Assist students and professors with the process of registering and enrolling in community college classes; send required enrollment information to the appropriate staff in the community college system.
  • Facilitate dual enrollment classes and work to actively support both community college professors and LCPS students in making each course offering mutually beneficial.
  • Meet weekly with dual enrollment professors to help ensure student success.
  • Run office hours one day per week afterschool for students in the dual enrollment program
  • Participate and attend meetings, workshops and conferences that support the development of our dual enrollment program at LCPS.
  • Coordinate the logistics of the dual enrollment program with school teachers and leaders.
  • Regularly review and reflect on student performance in the dual enrollment program and use this data to make programmatic improvements.
  • ENGAGING IN PROFESSIONAL COLLABORATION

  • Meet regularly with the College and Career Success Team, including the Senior Director of College and Career Success, College / Career Advisors, our Work-Based Learning Coordinator, and Destination College Advisor Fellows to coordinate programming.
  • Assist with data collection, documentation, budgeting, and reporting for Measure N / H, Strong Workforce, and other initiatives related to dual enrollment.

  • Grow and contribute as an educator, colleague, learner, and community member including engaging in professional development and your own growth as a teacher in service of student learning and outcomes.

  • Administer all policies and procedures in a professional and timely manner as mandated by LCPS, and state and federal agencies (i.e., attendance records, dress code, reporting of sexual / physical abuse).

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

    We would love to hear from you if your educational toolbox includes the following :

  • B.A. or B.S. required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 3+ years teaching or program administration experience at the high school and / or college level
  • Valid California Teaching Credential, preferred
  • A nuanced understanding of the differences between high school and college courses and how to help students navigate the transition between the two
  • Ability to interpret and use data for the purpose of improving student outcomes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • SUPERVISION

    This position will report to LCPS’ Senior Director of College and Career Success

    TIME COMMITMENT

    This interim position is full-time, salaried, and exempt, covering December 2025 through May 2026 while the permanent employee is on maternity leave. The role follows a 12-month (233-day) work year calendar, which includes significant student-free days for professional learning, collaboration with colleagues, and family engagement. The interim position will also include paid holidays / breaks during this period, in addition to accruing PTO on a prorated basis.

    Common Building Hours : 8 : 00-5 : 00 pm for administrators. Occasional weekend and evening hours are required as determined by supervisor.

    OUR COMPENSATION PACKAGE

    Range : $72K-95K annual, pro-rated dependent on length of temporary position. Commensurate with experience and licensure.
