About this opportunity :

The Salvation Army Events Management department has an opening for a part-time / casual Photographer to support department events.

This position works alongside the event production crew and operates camera equipment and lighting, capturing high-quality photographs during live events, including worship services, special events, and community gatherings. The photographer will work closely with the lead event photographer to visually document and preserve the essence of these events.

What we are looking for in you :

• One year of experience working in the field of live event photography and production is preferred. OR
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

A constant amount of physical effort is required associated with hand movement, holding, finger dexterity, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, vision, hearing, talking, and sitting at least 90% of the work time. Ability to lift and carry moderately to heavy (100+ lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Physical effort is associated with walking, standing, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching. Work can take place in many different indoor and outdoor environments where there could be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

Work performed by youth ages 14-17 must comply with The Salvation Army employment policies specifically for youth and federal and state youth employment regulations, which outline prohibited hazardous work and work days / hours.
