Picture your day beginning on our shop floor in New Kensington. You open a new work order, review the CAD drawings, and translate bend notes and GD&T into a clean setup plan. The right tooling goes in, the backgauge is dialed, a quick program tweak, and your first‑piece inspection confirms you’re on spec. As jobs change over, you’ll pivot between the CNC press brake and CNC cutting equipment (laser, router, turret punch), collaborating with engineers, quality, and production to deliver tight‑tolerance parts across aerospace, defense, clean tech, and more.

What you’ll do

  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD, and work instructions to fabricate precision sheet metal components.
  • Set up and operate CNC press brakes, including tool selection, backgauge setup, programming, and in‑process adjustments.
  • Run CNC cutters (laser, router, turret punch, etc.) to produce accurate cuts and hole features.
  • Perform layout, bending, punching, forming, and notching to exacting tolerances.
  • Select / install tooling, set machine parameters, and verify first‑piece quality before releasing production.
  • Inspect with calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure conformance.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and production to troubleshoot and improve fabrication processes.
  • Maintain machines, tooling, and a clean, organized work area; follow all safety procedures.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical / vocational training preferred).
  • 3+ years in sheet metal fabrication using CNC press brakes and CNC cutting equipment, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in press brake setup / operation : tooling, backgauge, programming, and adjustments.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with CNC routers, lasers, or turret punches.
  • Ability to read prints and interpret GD&T.
  • Experience with aluminum, stainless, cold‑rolled steel, and other metals.
  • Solid understanding of fabrication principles, setups, and tooling.
  • Comfort with ERP systems and digital work instructions.
  • Welding knowledge is a plus, but this role is not welding‑centric.
  • Forklift and crane operation experience preferred.
  • Compensation

Pay Range : $22-$33 / hr depending on experience
