Inventory Management Specialist

We're seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to work at J&J MedTech, a leading medical device company, in Boston, MA. Salary / Pay Rate / Compensation : $30 / hour. Shift : Position will require schedule flexibility including on call and weekends. Location : Boston, MA. Benefits : Med / Den / Vis, 401(K), PTO, and Paid Holidays.

What's a typical day as Inventory Management Specialist? You'll be :

  • Managing order fulfillment of exception-based orders coming from the field sales teams including close connection with Courier Service, receiving parties and internal clients.
  • Proactively solving backorders from our central Distribution Center in partnership with the field sales team to determine which ones need to be fulfilled by the Field Sales Location.
  • Managing warehouse inventory via close coordination with our central DC.
  • Performing in bound product verification and put away process for inventory products including, but not limited to the following : scanning inventory, completing inventory transfers in SAP, etc.
  • Training and following standard operation and quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Performing cycle count and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Assisting in regular inventory inspections and performing safety and quality audits.
  • Adherence to training requirements, and health and safety regulations.
  • Wearing protective clothing and equipment as required.
  • Implementing schedule / policies / and group guidelines.
  • Leading projects as required.
  • Flexible to other tasks as priorities shift.
  • Responsible for GDP (Good documentation practices).

  • Have a minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Bachelors Degree a plus!
  • Bring 2-4 years of relevant work experience in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or customer service.
  • Possess strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite, with knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Flexibility to work a staggered work schedule covering Monday thru Sunday shifts.
  • Willingness to accommodate changes in the schedule including working in other shifts as per operational needs is required (late or early start).
  • Strong computer skills and ability to utilize specialized software and customized programs to meet business needs.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Practices (GxP) and experience with Inventory Management is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds (required).
