Job descriptionGraduation from an accredited nursing program with no prior RN experience. Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state. Preferred : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire. AHA ACLS Provider certification required within 1 year. As a New Grad RN in the MWH Observation Unit, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while receiving the training and support needed to excel in your nursing career. This is an entry-level position with immediate openings for passionate individuals ready to start their journey in healthcare.
What You'll Do
- Direct and coordinate nursing care, overseeing both licensed and unlicensed personnel.
- Engage patients and families in care plans, including teaching and discharge planning.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient care.
- Assist in defining standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to daily operational activities to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Provide input to the Nurse Manager on unit needs and participate in committees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
