Database Engineer (Tampa)

Company Description

Currently working with an innovative automobile company down in the Tampa Bay area that is looking to bring on a Database Engineer as they continue to grow out the Technical Team

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role, 2 days a week onsite, for a Database Engineer, located in Downtown Tampa Bay. The Database Engineer will be responsible for database administration, development, design, and data modeling. Day-to-day tasks include managing database performance, implementing solutions, conducting data modeling, and supporting ETL processes to ensure data integrity and efficiency within the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Database Administration, Database Development, and Database Design
• Proficiency in Data Modeling and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (required), exposure to SQL Server and / or MySQL
• Advanced SQL skills, with a track record of performance tuning and query optimization. Experience with ETL workflows and data integration across heterogeneous systems
• Familiarity with Git and version-controlled development workflows. Exposure to application data models in ASP.NET and React environments
