Description
The Project Planning Coordinator is expected to work with multiple internal organizations, including Distribution Services, Strategic Sourcing, Standards, DPMO, Power Management and Distribution System (PMDS), and external Construction Resources, to strategically analyze our billing standards. The scope of work in this position will be related (but not limited) to Distribution Construction Services, construction standards, and the processes that drive the creation of billing units.
Key Roles & Responsibilities :
- Review and analyze existing and new Distribution billing units, as applicable to maintenance and construction projects.
- Effectively respond to change and adjust priorities on short notice.
- Establish trust, exhibit commitment, build and maintain relationships with cross functional organizations.
- Communicate any updates to billing standards to stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross functional team communications to resolve issues to programs / projects.
- Develop, apply, and maintain a high-level of project management standards.
- Effective creation and delivery of presentations and informative reports.
- Anticipate potential risks and document contingency plans to mitigate risk.
- Interface between Distribution Services, Strategic Sourcing, Standards, DPMO, PMDS, and external Construction Resources.
- Identify and implement process improvement measures to improve efficiencies.
- Promote and actively participate in safe work practices.
- Clearly and concisely expresses ideas and concepts in individual or group situations.
- Adheres to Distribution Operations processes.

Ability to perform responsibilities with limited supervision.Ability to analyze data and reports to produce applicable information.Demonstrated ability to improve the efficiency of work processes.Ability to identify and resolve potential project issues in a pro-active manner.Ability to make presentations to small and large groups.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external team members, both verbally and in writing.Skilled and experienced with Microsoft Office tools including a strong knowledge of Excel is required.Education and Experience :
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Project Management, Engineering, or Business with 2 plus years of related experience in electric utility, information systems, or engineering related is encouraged to apply.In lieu of a degree, 5 plus years of related experience in electric utility, information systems, or engineering related is encouraged to apply.Measures of Success :
