Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a NJ or compact license and proficiency in specialized vascular procedures.
Responsibilities
Work in an Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital settingDay shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week from 8 : 00 to 18 : 00Required to take call and work weekend shifts as neededInvolves cardiac cath lab procedures, laser-assisted procedures, vascular studies, angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper / lower extremity angiographyProcedural sedation administration and monitoring requiredUses Epic EMR system; Epic experience preferredResponsibilities include procedural sedation, monitoring patients during advanced vascular and cardiac procedures, and managing post-procedure careMust administer and monitor procedural sedation and manage challenging cases independentlyNo travel pairs or groups acceptedNo more than three days of requested time off (RTO) will be auto-approved, and no RTO allowed during the first week of orientationFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyScrub and dress code requirements will be provided during onboardingRequirements
Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of considerationCurrent certifications in BLS and ACLSMinimum one year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience requiredExperience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, pressure ulcer assessment / prevention, and using Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale requiredExperience with sheath removal, monitoring, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) requiredRadiation and laser safety experience requiredFormer permanent staff must be gone for at least one year before being eligible to return as a travelerCandidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facilityBenefits
