The Opportunity

A high-volume retail pharmacy in Los Alamos, New Mexico is hiring a Retail Pharmacist for a full-time, 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, efficiency, and customer care are top priorities.

Position Details

Assignment Type : Temp-to-perm (13 weeks with hire potential)

Shift Start Times : Must be available to start between 8 : 30 AM and 9 : 30 AM

Pharmacy Operating Hours :

MondayFriday : 8 : 30 AM 6 : 30 PM

Saturday : 9 : 00 AM 2 : 00 PM (rotating weekends required)

System Used : PioneerRx

Role Responsibilities

Supervise and support pharmacy technicians throughout the day

Deliver patient counseling and answer medication-related questions

Perform final verification on prescriptions, including non-sterile USP 800 compounds (no hands-on compounding required)

Help maintain smooth daily operations in a high-volume environment (~600 scripts / day)

What Youll Need to Qualify

Active and clear New Mexico Pharmacist license

Exposure to or experience with non-sterile compounding preferred (verification only)

Previous experience in high-volume retail settings is a strong plus

New graduates with valid licensure will also be considered
