Security Officer - Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer - Patrol Specialist in Carthage, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food / Beverage, and more. Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Wed 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including both interior areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior

Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client protocols

Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access

Support access control procedures by verifying identification and / or credentials as required for entry into designated areas

Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with information and directions as needed, while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location

Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client staff to help to deter potential disruptions and / or respond to emergencies

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Access control and / or badge experience is preferred

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
