American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Room position in a hybrid ER and Urgent Care setting, requiring a WA or compact RN license and multiple advanced certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a brand new hybrid Emergency Room and Urgent Care facility with 8 beds, including 1 trauma / resuscitation room and 6 hall chairsFacility uses Epic EMR, with experience preferredEstimated 90-100 patients per day, with about 60% urgent care and 40% emergency level patientsNurse-to-patient ratio is 3 : 1 for ER patients, varied for urgent care patientsShift is nights, 7 : 00 pm – 7 : 30 am, 24 hours per weekWeekend shifts are required every other weekendHoliday coverage is required on a rotating basisNo floating or on-call requirementsAny color scrubs are permittedResponsibilities include caring for both urgent care and emergency-level patients across a diverse range of conditionsFacility is standalone with in-house security available 24 / 7Patients requiring admission are transferred promptly due to the limited number of bedsNo respiratory therapist on site; ER has one ventilator and RNs read telemetry stripsX-ray and CT services are available within the ERNurse-draw blood collection is requiredTeam includes RNs, LPNs, charge nurse, and mid-level providersFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyReturning candidates must not have worked for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health in any capacity within the past year\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience requiredCurrent certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP, TNCC, and NIHSSDemonstrated proficiency with typical Emergency Room RN skillsEpic EMR experience preferredMust provide a copy of a driver's license for considerationTwo recent references required : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire\n Benefits\n
