Responsibilities

The Division of Hospital Medicine with Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join their team. Mayo Clinic Florida is a 320-bed academic hospital and destination medical center for oncology, transplant, and stroke care for Northeast Florida, with a strong focus on complex medical care.

• Variable day schedule (7 on-7 off, 5 on-5 off). Additional shifts including night coverage and admitter shifts, opportunities in Advanced Care at Home.
• 16-18 patient contacts per day.
• 5 hospitalist services with opportunities to engage with learners at different levels.
• Additional educational opportunities may become available over time.
• Closed ICU managed by dedicated Intensivists.
• Procedural and Point-of-Care Ultrasound skills preferred, but not required.
• Opportunities to contribute and participate in clinical research.

Qualifications

Must be board-certified in internal medicine and demonstrate scholarly activity within the past three years. Florida licensure / eligibility is also required. Due to the complex nature of the patients, at least one year of post-residency experience is preferred.
