Job Responsibilities

• Patient Verification : Ensure accuracy by verifying test requisitions against nursing station logs and addressing discrepancies with facility personnel.
• Specimen Collection : Perform venipunctures with precision and care while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Safe Transportation : Ensure safe transport of self and specimens while accurately tracking mileage per management guidelines.
• Specimen Integrity : Follow aseptic techniques, department protocols, and isolation procedures to maintain sample quality.
• Documentation & Tracking : Record collection details, including initials, date, and time of collection, to ensure accurate tracking.
• Regulatory Compliance : Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all legal and industry regulations.
• Data Entry : Utilize laboratory information systems to enter sample acquisition details.
• Professionalism & Community Service : Uphold professional standards, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Enhancing Laboratory Reputation : Take initiative in maintaining the highest standards in phlebotomy services.
