Job Description :

The Indiana Department of Health seeks a Microbiologist to perform molecular testing of wastewater and water samples for SARS-CoV-2 and other public health targets. Responsibilities include RNA / DNA extraction, qPCR testing, data analysis, quality control, and report preparation.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science (B.S. / B.A.)

Hands-on experience with RNA / DNA extraction & qPCR testing (minimum 1 year)

Strong knowledge of molecular testing methods, lab safety, and quality control

Ability to analyze / interpret results and prepare technical reports

Excellent communication and record-keeping skills

Preferred : Additional molecular testing experience beyond 1 year.
