The HelloFresh Group now includes our core brand, HelloFresh, as well as : Green Chef, EveryPlate, Chefs Plate, Factor_, and Youfoodz.

Working at HelloFresh

At HelloFresh Group, we are driven by a high-performance culture that values speed, agility, and continuous learning. We believe in hands-on contribution and fostering a truly collaborative, egoless environment where every team member contributes to our mission of  changing the way people eat, forever  and welcome team players who thrive in a dynamic environment, lead with ownership, and bring diverse perspectives to the table.

Our teams thrive on in-person collaboration, with an expectation to work from the office four days a week. This approach creates a dynamic space where ideas flourish, decisions are made efficiently, and our collective impact is accelerated. It's how we stay closely connected to our shared goals and drive swift execution.

The role

As a Senior Accountant (f / m / x) for the inventory team, you'll play a key role in helping our US-based accounting team stay on top of inventory and COGS (Cost of goods sold) across multiple brands. You’ll handle the day-to-day essentials like data validation, reconciliation, and workpaper preperation, all while helping us close the books smoothly each month. You’ll have opportunities to take ownership of key accounting processes and make a real impact on how we operate. If you enjoy working with data, digging into the details, and being part of a collaborative team, we’d love to work with you!

What you'll do

  • Prepare and update inventory-related workpapers, including balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate, clean, and reconcile information from various systems to ensure information is accurate and complete.
  • Assist with the monthly close processes, including helping with various workpapers and posting journal entries.
  • Work closely with our Accounts Payable and Procurement teams (including our Manila-based teams) to stay on top of accruals and vendor statement follow-ups.
  • You will be our go-to person and trusted liaison.
  • Monitor open items during month-end close and follow up on pending issues or items so nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing supporting schedules and documentation. Keep us audit-ready!
  • Jump in on special projects or ad hoc requests as they come up whether it’s helping clean up data, pulling together reports, or exploring something new.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Around 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience, especially with inventory or COGS and solid understanding of accounting basics (you speak fluent debits and credits), additional experience in preparing audit support documentation would a big plus.
  • You know your way around the month-end close process and have proven experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, as well as supporting schedules.
  • You are open to benefit from a flexible schedule that bridges time zones with our US colleagues :   enjoy later starts at 11 : 00am on three days per week   and contribute your expertise during one focused week at month-end closing when your impact matters most.
  • You have strong Excel experience and are confident with formulas and pivot tables.
  • Ability to analyze, validate, and reconcile large datasets from multiple sources.
  • You like to work independently, bring strong attention to detail and a natural sense of ownership over your work.
  • Excellent English language skills both written and spoken (at least level C1).
  • What we offer

  • Health  - You’re covered from your first day with private health insurance
  • Hybrid Working Schedule  - We work in-office 4 days a week to align on goals, with flexible hours to support work-life balance and personal needs
  • Holidays  - You receive 26 days of paid vacation each year, providing you time to rest and recharge
  • Learning and Development  - An annual Learning & Development budget and a Mentoring Program to support your ongoing professional growth
  • Employee Referral Program  - Our team members can participate in our internal employee referral program
  • Daily Comforts  - Free coffee, drinks, and fresh fruit are available to keep you refreshed throughout the day
  • If you are passionate about making a tangible impact and thrive in a fast-paced environment where your work directly contributes to a global purpose, we encourage you to apply – even if your experience doesn't tick every single box, we believe there are many ways to develop skills and grow with us.
