Store Manager

— San Francisco, CA

Dainese USA Inc. is looking for a store manager for its San Francisco Store. The candidate is a sales-driven individual with experience in structured sport / fashion / jewelry retail environments. Outgoing with strong communication skills; a love of motorcycle gear and motorbikes is a plus for understanding customers’ needs. Bi-lingual is a plus; women are encouraged to apply. Salary is DOE and includes commission and bonus incentives.

Location : Dainese Store San Francisco, California

Yearly Salary : $60,000 - $75,000 based on experience

Typical work week : 40 hours; available to work weekends.

Summary : The Store Manager utilizes and coordinates all services to manage the retail store in the best interests of the company, its employees, and the local community. The Store Manager ensures the store provides the highest level of customer service and is responsible for achieving budgeted revenue goals and monitoring expenses. The Store Manager upholds the company mission and inspires the team and customers.

Responsibilities

Customer Service :

Instill the meaning and importance of customer service in employees; promote and monitor quality service through training and by acting as a positive role model; be personally available to customers to communicate needs and address questions or concerns; develop an individual core customer service approach.

Budgeting and Planning :

Review numbers, KPIs, and goals with the Region; ensure goals are met through planning and organizing staff, inventory, and expenses; communicate sales goals to staff; monitor loss prevention to protect inventory and assets; take necessary action to reduce expenses if sales goals are not met.

Personnel :

Hire people who relate to our products and philosophy; inspire employees to contribute to productivity; delegate workload effectively; discipline employees per company policies when necessary.

Communication :

Communicate with the National Retail Manager at least weekly with updates on customer service, events, and local issues; review store progress monthly; hold weekly staff meetings and submit notes to the Retail Department; maintain positive relations with all divisions; work with buyers to establish inventory levels; ensure timely policy communication and adherence.

Leadership, Training and Staff Development :

Foster a positive attitude toward HQ; recognize outstanding performance; motivate and develop staff; maintain training standards for product and systems knowledge; maintain an open-door policy for concerns; develop a pool of potential store managers / supervisors for future needs.

Activism :

Create stores that serve as community centers; promote safety in active sports; maintain high merchandising standards that reflect the Dainese image in collaboration with the Visual Merchandiser; partner with retail and events teams to plan promotional activities.

Legal Compliance :

Ensure store compliance with national employment laws; maintain safe working conditions; address safety concerns promptly; ensure store security and proper procedures for handling theft.

Other Job Functions :

Perform additional duties as assigned by the National Retail Manager.

Qualifications

Experience :

Retail Management : 4 years (Preferred); Customer Service : 1 year (Required)

Education :

High school (Required)

Skills :

Two years of store management experience; ability to build effective teams; strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; knowledge of merchandise presentation and basic retail concepts; proficiency in Excel and Word; initiative and adaptability; motorbike local community knowledge a plus.
