Endoscopy Technician Job Details

Location : Ithaca, NY (14850) – New York healthcare jobs

Setting : Hospital Endoscopy Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (10 / 28 / 2024 – 1 / 27 / 2025)

Shift : Variable day / evening shifts, 4x10 hour shifts per week (Monday–Friday, varied scheduled days off)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1130–$1210 per week

Job Type : Travel Endoscopy Technician

Floating : Required between CMC and CEC hospital locations

Endoscopy Technician Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Endoscopy Technician or GI Tech

Strong skills with Moderate Sedation (Mod Sed) and Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), with emphasis on Moderate Sedation

Prior travel healthcare experience preferred

Proficiency with ERBE technology, endoscopy clips, and snares

Ability to provide clinical support for patients with varying acuities and comorbidities

Endoscopy Technician certification (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort

Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment, including ERBE systems and accessories

Deliver technical support for procedures involving Moderate Sedation and Monitored Anesthesia Care

Float between CMC and CEC hospital locations as required

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality clinical support

Care for a diverse patient population with a range of medical needs
