- VP of Finance
- with management oversight of a team of reinsurance accounting professionals and a small financial reporting team. You will also oversee team leadership, mentorship, and development, as well as manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and rating agencies.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee statutory and GAAP financial reporting, including Schedule F, Schedule P, and DAC estimates, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide leadership and guidance on program underwriting, reinsurance (quota share and excess of loss), and internal controls.
- Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, claims, and program management teams to align financial and operational strategies.
- Analyze and present overall insurance results, surplus roll, and profitability by client, treaty, and period to senior management.
- Lead capital management, RBC, leverage, and reinsurance collateral processes, including interactions with external stakeholders.
- Drive financial planning and analysis, including investor reporting, licensing projections, and AM Best / BCAR deliverables.
- Oversee general ledger operations, management reporting, and statutory filings.
- Ensure enterprise-wide compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and risk management standards.
- Provide strategic oversight of external interactions with program managers, brokers, and TPAs.
- Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field. CPA highly regarded.
- At least 10 years of experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry, with a pivotal role in accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong project management and process improvement skills, with a proven ability to drive change.
- Experience managing and developing teams.
