Requirements

• 1-2 years of professional driving experience
• Knowledge of all 5 Boroughs and the Tri-State is helpful
• A valid NY State Drivers License
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Use of GPS Software and Smart phone apps
• Ability to use physical strength carry min of 50lbs with hand truck

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, including speed limits, seatbelt usage, and avoiding distractions (e.g., mobile phones).
• Maintain a safety score of 90+ (incentives provided for achieving this benchmark).
• Avoid risky behaviors such as hard braking, quick turns, speeding, idling, or driving while drowsy.
• Utilize vehicles equipped with inward- and outward-facing dash cams to enhance safety and accountability.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs promptly through our mobile app.
• Complete the Samba Safety Series of video training modules and attend onboarding sessions led by our Safety Manager.

Brand Representation

• Wear the company-provided uniform at all times while on duty, ensuring a professional appearance that reflects our brand standards.
• Serve as the face of the company by demonstrating kindness and professionalism to customers, doormen, concierges, and other stakeholders.
• Actively listen to dispatchers and clients, following instructions while thinking critically to resolve issues on the spot.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, keeping all parties informed and aligned throughout the delivery process.

Operational Excellence

• Utilize company-provided GPS to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Maintain the cleanliness of assigned vehicles, removing personal trash at the end of each shift.
• Support operational spikes due to seasonal demands, holidays, and weather-related surges.

Flexibility & Adaptability

• Be open to flexible scheduling, including weekend and night shifts (differential pay provided for third-shift coverage).
• Adapt to a fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities and schedules.
