DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In the role of Maintenance Repairman 2, you will utilize your strong project management abilities to develop preliminary plans, assess material needs, and identify specific parts and supplies for procurement. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of bridge-related tasks, including rebar tying, concrete pouring, form construction, and waterproofing. Additionally, you will engage in measuring, cutting, and nailing lumber for diverse construction projects, as well as pouring and finishing concrete. Your work will also involve the assembly of railings, stairs, partitions, ramps, shelves, inlets, and other similar structures. To accomplish these tasks, you will operate a range of both motorized and non-motorized hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, hammers, chainsaws, compressors, jackhammers, tampers, hand mowers, and trimmers. Furthermore, this position may require you to assist with winter maintenance activities as needed, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

Full-time employment
Work hours are 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :

Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or

Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades ; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements :

This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Additional Requirements :

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
