Radio Communications Systems TechnicianThe Radio Communications Systems Technician is responsible for sustaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of radio frequency transmission systems and equipment. This role supports line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight communication capabilities across multiple waveform spectrums and environments, ensuring reliable voice, digital, and analog communication operations.ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Establish and maintain communication circuits across multiple waveform spectrums (HF, VHF, UHF, SHF, and EHF) in fixed and tactical environmentsConfigure and manage system and network connectivity for radio and satellite communication equipmentErect and orient antenna systems to enable efficient radio operationsConfigure equipment to support voice, digital, and analog communication capabilities.Maintain communication links with distant stations and assist with electronic measures to mitigate communication jammingConduct configuration management, analysis, and development of land mobile radios, satellite phones, and all other radio communication equipmentDiagnose, update, develop, and resolve issues in coordination with Base Communications and/or vendor support for all radio communications equipment in support of ECMM requirementsSupport development and improvement of telemetry, instrumentation, keying, and signal device systemsAssist with documentation and reporting related to communication equipment performance and configurationsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsNecessary Skills and Knowledge:Strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Minimum Qualifications:Associate's Degree or higher requiredMinimum of 10 years of radio frequency transmission/systems field experience with transmitters, receivers, encryption devices, satellite communications, and multiple waveform systemsExperience working with telemetry, instrumentation, and multi-spectrum waveform operationsMust have a Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment is preferredPay and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00 per hour.
