A restoration laundry technician restores textiles damaged by fire, smoke, water, or mold by inspecting, sorting, cleaning, and finishing items using specialized equipment and chemicals. Key duties include using tracking software to log items, applying appropriate cleaning methods, performing tasks like steaming and ironing, documenting progress, and packaging clean items for customer return. Successful candidates require attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to follow safety and infection control procedures.
