SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The PRN X-Ray Technician performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist medical providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role supports clinic operations by providing high-quality imaging, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and clinic standards.

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic exams as ordered by providers, following proper positioning and exposure techniques.
  • Verify patient identification and procedure orders before performing exams.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of radiographic equipment.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and radiation protection guidelines at all times.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and upload images to the electronic medical record (EMR) or PACS system.
  • Assist clinical staff and providers with patient care as needed during imaging or other clinic procedures.
  • Support clinic workflow by performing additional tasks such as room turnover, supply restocking, and basic patient prep when needed.
  • Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and coworkers.
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and stay updated on current radiologic practices

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND / OR CERTIFICATIONS

    The position requires an Associate Degree in Radiology, valid and current Arkansas licensure, and two (2) years of prior Radiology Technologist experience.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are expected to include 7 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required. The position operates in a professional office environment and the incumbent, in the course of performing this position, spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, driving, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds) and reaching. The incumbent may operate any or all of the following standard office equipment including but not limited to multi-line telephone system, postage mater, facsimile machines, calculator, photocopy machine, computer / printer, and coffee maker. The incumbent may operate medical equipment. The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
