As a Psychiatry Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting our psychiatry portfolio. You will implement effective sales and marketing strategies, leveraging your clinical knowledge to drive sales performance. Successful Account Managers thrive on navigating the complexities of commercialization in today's dynamic landscape and excel in several key areas :

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Business Planning & Account Leadership - Utilize digital tools and data-driven insights to identify opportunities, craft strategies, allocate resources, and enhance sales performance.

Selling - Communicate compelling messages to customers, effectively address their needs, manage objections, and secure commitments to drive behavior changes.

Customer Development - Cultivate and maintain strong internal and external relationships aligned with customer needs and organizational goals, focusing on comprehensive account management.

Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise - Analyze and validate market trends, understand account connections, and apply deep therapeutic knowledge to identify and prioritize unique opportunities.

Reimbursement - Stay informed about reimbursement dynamics and proactively address payer access issues across various payers using Lundbeck resources.

Pharmaceutical Environment / Compliance - Uphold knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory landscape, ensuring adherence to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations regarding product promotion.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, or healthcare sales.
  • Exhibit strong intellectual capacity to excel in product training and achieve certification annually.
  • Self-starter with a robust work ethic and exceptional communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must reside within 40 miles of the designated territory.
  • Valid driver's license required with a safe driving record.
  • Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers / customer facilities.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :

  • Experience in specialty product sales.
  • Background in CNS / neuroscience product promotion, particularly in depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
  • Proven track record of successful sales performance.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability in developing and executing integrated account plans.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with sales data reporting tools.
  • Experience in product launches.
  • Previous collaboration with alliance partners (e.g., co-promotions).
  • Leadership demonstrated through participation in committees and activities.
  • TRAVEL :

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%-40% domestically to engage with customers and attend conferences and meetings across the U.S.
  • The national salary range for this position is $117,000 - $137,000, with an additional sales incentive target of $39,000.
