Dock Operator (On-Call Schedule)

PSC Group is seeking a Dock Operator to join our team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and outdoors around the waterways. The Dock Operator serves as the person-in-charge of the dock and assists the Tankerman with the safe transfer of oil products and chemicals to and from barges and / or ships. Work Schedule : On-call. This position will travel locally to different chemical plants / refineries working a 24-hour variable on-call schedule.

Pay Range : Starting at $21.00 with opportunity for advancement.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

• Meets with the person-in-charge of the vessel and communicates with facility personnel
• Maintains detailed dock logs to ensure all events are recorded in chronological order
• Operates crane, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical equipment, and manual / motor operated valves
• Understands the facility piping layout to transfer the proper product
• Gauges barge and retrieves sample of product from vessel
• Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
