We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Buffalo, New York. In this role, you will oversee financial activities related to project accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and experience in construction or real estate project accounting.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain precise financial records for various projects, including contracts, invoices, and related documentation.
• Assist in developing project budgets and inputting financial data into accounting systems.
• Track and analyze project costs to ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Prepare and issue invoices to clients, adhering to contractual terms and deadlines.
• Generate client account statements and proactively address outstanding balances.
• Conduct follow-up calls for collections as necessary.
• Coordinate closely with team leaders and project managers to align financial updates with project budgets and billing.
• Utilize specialized accounting software, such as Deltek, to manage financial processes efficiently.
• Proficiency in Deltek accounting software preferred
• Strong background in construction accounting or architecture project accounting is required
• Solid understanding of financial principles related to project costs and revenue recognition.
• Experience managing budgets and tracking expenses for construction or real estate projects.
• Ability to prepare and issue invoices in compliance with contractual agreements.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with project teams and clients.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational abilities.
