Job Description
This is an Engineering role open due to an upcoming retirement. It is a unique situation where the incoming Engineer will work with the current Engineer who has over 40 years of experience. He has a wealth of experience that he can pass on to you! There is only one Engineer at the plant so once you gain the technical insight on the process, equipment, design, quality and estimating you will be the “go-to” Engineer.
Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to :
- Responsible for generating efficient and accurate quotes / estimates.
- Develops documentation necessary to support a successful launch of new products on to the manufacturing floor. Documentation includes authorizing fixtures, gauges, and tooling with dates / REV levels, written quality criteria, machine settings, machine programs, etc.
- Works with Quality Assurance to provide standardized documentation to manufacturing.
- Ensures that all tools / fixtures / jigs / patterns are to current REV level and are marked accordingly.
- Tracks and improves engineering quality performance through the corrective action process.
- Coordinate and work with Production management to define accurate labor steps and operation run rates.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree required in Administrative, Engineering or associated field.Experience :
5 years in an engineering position in a manufacturing environment.
