Manifest Solutions is currently seeking an Engineer for a position in South Bend, IN.

  • Utilize DDS software to analyze distribution utility poles for the purpose of adding grid modernization equipment or line rebuilds associated with transmission and station projects.
  • Track due dates for assigned projects, and work with the design team and others like PM's or line coordinators to ensure designs are accurate and high quality.
  • Gains knowledge of standards, codes, and regulations relevant to area of assignment.
  • Gains knowledge with pertinent equipment, material, systems, and business processes.
  • Assists employees in handling defined portions of routine problems

Performs work activities as assigned and coached by higher level employees.

  • Demonstrates ability to work with others in supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary.

    • Prioritizes routine work to meet the demands of the company.

  • Maintains accurate records.
  • Applies technical knowledge and experience in resolving problems encountered in assigned work.
  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
  • Assists in the preparation of technical reports and papers.
  • Develops decision-making skills based on sound judgment and job knowledge.
  • Develops an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the local organizational unit.

    • Skills

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years or related utility industry work experience; or an Associate's Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Civil / Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields.
  • Possesses basic computer literacy, knowledge, and skills.
  • Overnight travel would only come into play during a storm if asked to support damage assessment, otherwise all travel is day trips.
  • Experience in the electric utility is a plus, minimum associates degree preferred but not required.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
