Job Description

The Opportunity :

We’re seeking an associate paralegal with excellent organizational and written / oral communication skills and experience with brand licensing and marketing transactions to join Mattel’s worldwide Legal & Business Affairs team. This position is located at Mattel’s headquarters in Los Angeles. This position will evolve, and may expand, as Mattel’s needs evolve.

What Your Impact Will Be :

• Support varied IP-centric transactions for Mattel’s licensing, brand, media, and technology groups, which are responsible for the global marketing of Mattel brands and products. Daily responsibilities include reviewing deal terms for completeness and accuracy, drafting / negotiating / executing agreements, and preparation of related legal documents.
• Provide thoughtful, strategic, and proactive legal and business advice on wide range of issues related to licensing, marketing and digital / traditional brand activations and other services including independent contractor and agency engagements.
• Provide timely responses, proactively manage expectations of clients, and skillfully juggle constantly changing priorities.
• Engage in frequent and direct communications with Mattel internal stakeholders as well as external partners (including CEOs, CFOs, and attorneys).

Compensation : $33-$33
