Seeking a dynamic person to work as a full-time Manual Machinist in a fast-paced Submersible Motor Engineering Manufacturer located in Phoenix, AZ .

This Metal Shop needs machinists with medium size (cylindrical approx. 1 ft. X 8ft) product steel machining experience.

Job Description :

Machinists will repair or produce parts using both manual and automated equipment with precise measurements. Set up, tear down and part inspection are all part of the process.

Experience / Skills Required :

  • Manual Machinist (entry level)
  • Experience with Manual operation of engine lathe and mill.
  • Lathe, Bridgeport, and cut off saw knowledge required.
  • Very high tolerances must be maintained and careful consideration to accuracy.
  • Proficient with dial indicators, calipers, various size micrometers and other precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently
  • Ability to walk / stand for long periods of time on unpadded flooring
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity
  • Positive attitude and willing to work with all other departments periodically
  • Work in a non-climate controlled environment
  • Work long shifts with a flexible schedule.
  • Safety minded.
  • Driver’s License Required.
  • Welding experience (helpful but not required)

    • Shift / Schedule :

  • 6 : 00am-2 : 45pm (Monday-Friday)

    • Education / Experience Required :

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Compensation :

  • 22.00 to $28.00 depending on skill, experience, and work history.
