We are hiring a Pediatric Private Duty LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the Mandeville area to provide weekends pediatric private duty care. Case Specific Enhanced Pay Rates are available with 8-12 shifts We offer FT / PT hours, flexible schedules, and weekly pay!

Responsibilities
The Personal Care Services Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse is responsible for :
Providing direct nursing care as prescribed by the physician to acutely ill, and / or chronically ill patients in their homesRecording clinical and progress notesCoordinating other patient care activities / services to provide the highest quality of patient care in the geographic service area to which she / he is assignedWorks under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and / or designated supervisorNursing activities are limited to those in compliance with the State LPN / LVN Practice Act, any applicable licensure / certification requirements and agency policies and proceduresSpecific Job Duties / Responsibilities :
Provides direct skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with the plan of careUtilizes the E.V.V. (Electronic Visit Verification) program as applicable. Records clinical and progress notes at the time of the visit to ensure continuity of qualitative patient care in a timely basisPrepares equipment and material for use according to the plan of care, practicing appropriate procedure technique, including Administers medications as prescribed by a physician and permitted by lawAssists with teaching the patient and / or family members regarding the patient care needs and other related problems of the patient at homeEnsures confidentiality of patient records / informationAttends team meetings and staff meetings to enhance team communication and coordination of quality servicesObserves, records, and reports (1) signs and symptoms; (2) reactions to treatments and medications; and (3) any change in the patient's physical or emotional condition in a timely manner to the Registered Nurse and physician as applicableParticipates in the organization's Performance Improvement and Compliance programs and adheres to policies and proceduresAll other duties assignedEducation and Experience
Education Requirements
Must meet educational / experience requirements outlined in the laws of licensure statesExperience Requirements
A minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience preferredPrevious home care experience preferredLicense Requirements
Must have current LPN licensure in state of practiceCurrent driver's license, vehicle insurance and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportationCurrent CPR certification requiredAdditional state Specific Requirements
