Minimum Qualifications

Education :

Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related STEM field (required).

Masters Degree in Data Science (preferred).

Experience :

7+ years of professional experience in data science (required).

Healthcare, hospital setting, EHR, medical informatics, or healthcare finance / revenue cycle experience (preferred).

Technical Skills & Expertise :

Proven mastery of machine learning methods (e.g., clustering, decision trees, neural networks) and advanced statistical techniques (regression, A / B testing, distributions, statistical modeling).

Advanced SQL and database management experience.

Proficiency with statistical analysis tools and programming languages (Python, R, etc.).

Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, resolve complex data issues, and create scalable solutions.

Ability to translate complex insights into clear, compelling stories for technical and non-technical audiences alike.

Professional Skills :

Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proven leadership ability to mentor and guide junior data scientists.

Strong decision-making, analytical reasoning, and client service orientation.

Principal Accountabilities

Lead high-impact data science initiatives, managing projects that directly influence organizational strategy and outcomes.

Mentor, coach, and supervise junior data scientists while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Develop, validate, and maintain predictive models, custom algorithms, and advanced analytics tools.

Translate raw data into actionable insights for executives, clinicians, and operational leaders.

Conduct deep-dive analyses of structured and unstructured data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and operational efficiencies.

Partner with business and IT leaders to resolve data challenges and optimize workflows.

Evaluate new technologies, vendors, and tools to ensure best-in-class data science practices.

Present findings in clear, actionable ways to influence key decisions at the highest levels.
