Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a 3 month contract-to-hire opportunity supporting both Marketing Campaign and credit card origination teams. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in advanced analytics and survey analysis. Candidates must have an advanced degree- either a Masters or PHD. Candidates can have experience with any of the following tools- SAS, R, or python. Candidates need to be able to do factor analysis.

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field
• Proficiency in one or more of the following : SAS, R, Python
• Experience with Tableau for data visualization
• Strong data wrangling and factor analysis capabilities
• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Up-to-date knowledge of machine learning and data analytics tools and techniques
• Strong understanding of predictive modeling methodologies
• Experience with structured and unstructured data
• Proficiency in R / RStudio, Python, SAS, SQL, and NoSQL
• Familiarity with Cloud ML technologies (e.g., AWS SageMaker) and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, caret)
• Advanced statistical methods : Bayesian Networks, regression (linear / non-linear), hierarchical and mixed models
• Ability to communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently across multiple tasks
• Strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity and outcome-focused mindset
• Professional presence and ability to build relationships across functions
• Preferred Experience
• Financial Services experience
• 1-3 years of experience in machine learning, cloud computing, predictive modeling, and big data analysis
• Experience with survey analysis is a plus
• Education
• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related fields
