Job description

Join our team as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Orthopedic Surgery at a state-of-the-art hospital in Coos Bay, OR. In collaboration with attending physicians, you'll manage patient care, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and provide surgical assistance. This role includes a night shift schedule with weekend and on-call responsibilities. Housing will be coordinated for non-local candidates.

    • Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record patient history, and develop care plans.
  • Order or perform diagnostic studies such as EMG, ECG, and imaging.
  • Perform procedures including digital blocks and minor surgeries.
  • Assist in orthopedic surgeries and conduct hospital rounds.
  • Serve in primary orthopedic call roles and participate in call coverage.

    • Qualifications

  • Board Certified
  • Oregon License
  • Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership
  • NPDB Self query, CAQH login and password required

    • Working Hours

  • Nights, including weekend availability and on-call duties
  • Overtime after 40 hours

    • Skills

  • Proficient in electronic health records and concurrent care management
  • Ability to work independently under stress and in emergent situations
  • Successful completion of EPIC training (4 hours, with testing option available)

    • Please note : Credentialing timeframe is a minimum of 60 days.
