About The Position

Job Title : CT Technologist

Profession : Allied Level 2 CT Tech

Specialty : CT Technologist

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Weekday Evenings

Hours per Shift : 3 x 12.0

Experience : Minimum of 2 years Level 1 Trauma Center Experience

License : NYS Licensure required prior to starting position

Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Must-Have :

Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Description :

Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.

Adhere strictly to department policy and procedure for patient safety.

Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.

Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.

Insert IVs when necessary for the test.

Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility.

Utilize safe patient handling techniques.

Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC.

Ensure identifying images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.

Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Preferred :

Injection certification preferred; must be willing to complete during orientation process.

Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.

Soft Skills Required :

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

A patient and compassionate disposition.

A team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.
