Overview
Seeking a Supervisor RN to lead the Surgery Department at our facility. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective patient care, and supporting staff development through education and training. The RN Supervisor will collaborate with nursing leadership to maintain excellence in perioperative services and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Prioritize and delegate patient care workflow in an organized and efficient manner.Reassign patient assignments based on team member skill level and continuity of care.Coordinate staff scheduling and maintain appropriate staffing levels.Lead orientation and training for newly hired team members.Organize and implement staff education, in-services, and competency programs.Collaborate with leadership to resolve complex unit issues and patient concerns.Support temporarily reassigned staff during their shifts.Provide coaching, feedback, and performance input to staff and leadership.Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or currently enrolled in an RN-to-BSN program with completion within 2 years of hire.Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.Experience :
Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience as a Registered Nurse.Prior supervisory and teaching experience preferred.Licensure / Certifications :
