Tax Associate
The Tax Associate will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and guidance to clients, conducting tax planning sessions, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Responsibilities include providing expert tax advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of tax-related matters, conducting comprehensive tax reviews and assessments for clients to identify opportunities for tax optimization and risk mitigation, developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits for clients, preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, staying abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and communicating updates and implications to clients and internal stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor to clients, building and maintaining strong relationships based on integrity, professionalism, and trust, collaborating with other members of the tax advisory team to share knowledge, best practices, and insights to enhance client outcomes, and assisting with tax-related projects and initiatives, providing expertise and support as needed to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Essential skills include expertise in tax return preparation and accounting, proficiency in income tax, tax accounting, and tax preparation, a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation for individuals and / or businesses, and a strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Additional skills and qualifications include experience in completing a high volume of tax returns, 100+ per season. This is a permanent position based out of Lenexa, KS with a pay range of $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 / yr.
