Purpose of the Position

Are you a recent engineering graduate ready to launch your career in a dynamic, hands-on environment? At CPKC, were building the future of rail, and were looking for passionate, curious, and driven individuals to join our team as Engineers in Training. This is more than a job its a development opportunity with real impact, mentorship, and room to grow.

Position Accountabilities

• Supporting the planning and execution of railway infrastructure projects
• Assisting with design, permitting, and coordination of engineering activities
• Collaborating with experienced engineers and consultants
• Preparing cost estimates, technical reports, and project documentation
• Participating in site visits, surveying, and construction oversight
• Engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
• Learning to manage project timelines, budgets, and safety standards
• Providing on-call support for operational needs (rotational basis)

Pre-Employment Requirements

Medical and Drug Testing

This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company or regulated drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.
