Job descriptionPlan and facilitate age appropriate activities at Les Marquis House and Banyan House. Direct program volunteers during children's activity. Foster healthy development through interactions and play with children. Coordinate cleanup of the play space at the end of each shift. Maintain communication with program staff and volunteers. Develop monthly activity calendar(s) Complete daily participant attendance sheets and service logs Completes orientation with families upon entry which include child assessments, participation agreements, and support with school enrollment forms Attend trainings and participate in events relevant to key responsibilities Leads and collaborate on special projects related to agency objectives as appropriate Must be available for evening shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (5 : 00 to 8 : 30). Skills and experience in child development, especially of young children ages 2-5. Skills and experience in program planning for after-school programs. Initiative, flexibility, self-motivated, and capacity to respond effectively in stressful situations. Ability to create a comfortable and safe physical and emotional environment for children and adults. Knowledge of basic subjects taught in elementary schools. CPR and First Aid Certified TB tested (Tuberculosis cleared) Ability to individually supervise and effectively run a group of up to 10+ children Preschool or elementary teaching experience a plus Spanish Bilingual Preferred Non-Profit and Community Based Organization experience highly desirable. Demonstrates and models excellent "customer service" orientation, especially in the ability to interact with people at all levels within and outside the agency. Thinks independently and can make informed decisions when needed. Exercises extreme discretion with the ability to hold, balance and transmit public and confidential information needed by various parties. Proficient using MS Office products, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Acquires or maintains proficiency in using Google Drive products, including Docs, Sheets, and Forms. Auto insurance : Personal vehicle may be used for business related purposes; it is recommended you inform your auto insurance carrier.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5 : 00 p.m. - 8 : 30 p.m.
