JOB SUMMARY
The Pump Mechanic performs several job functions under the supervision of the Superintendent. Generally, this employee is responsible for pump and motor repairs on all lift stations and water plants.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience :
Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
Special Requirements :
Must possess a valid Texas Class "B" Commercial driver's license. Must possess a valid State of Texas Class II Collections license. Must be available 24 hours and be available to be on-call every other week.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required : balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
