Responsibilities Work in a vascular interventional radiology department performing peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, and embolization procedures Cases may include arterial and venous embolization, venous thrombectomy, neuro procedures (preferred), and hybrid peripheral vascular coordination with vascular surgery Procedures performed include cardiac and peripheral interventions, structural heart procedures (such as TAVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, Triclip, ASD / PFO, CardioMEMs), and use of adjunctive tools (ICUS, FFR / iFR, Lithotripsy, Laser, Rota, Impella, IABP, OCT, CTO) Adult patient population Day shift schedule Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM On-call duties required within 6 months of start No local candidates accepted (50 mile radius rule applies) EPIC is used for charting and experience with EPIC is required Level 1 Trauma experience required Administer contrast material and monitor for allergic reactions as ordered by the physician Assist with procedure inventory and supply management Verify patient and chart information, ensure accurate documentation, and provide clear explanations of procedures Contribute to training and orientation of new staff as needed Expected to perform all core duties of a radiologic technologist in an interventional setting Required to provide a 30-day advance notice for assignment cancellation once started Time off requests not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract Returning travelers may not serve on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break before returning No travel partners are accepted Requirements Minimum 2 years recent experience in peripheral vascular interventional radiology, venous central lines, tube changes, and arterial / venous embolization Ability to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required IEMA Radiography License Illinois required if applicable Radiography (R)(ARRT) required Associate's degree in a related field or certificate in Radiologic Technology required Manual dexterity to handle supplies and equipment Effective communication skills, capacity for accurate, detailed work, and the ability to follow instructions Must list EPIC charting experience and Level 1 Trauma experience for consideration Experience with interventional neurology is preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-631367.
