This facility is a growing medical center with a developing cardiac surgery program and a Trauma Level II designation. The medical center is transitioning from Cerner to EPIC electronic medical records, demonstrating its commitment to staying current with healthcare technology. With 8 operating rooms in use simultaneously, the facility offers a dynamic and diverse clinical environment.

Opportunity : Cardiac Anesthesiologist - Locum Tenens

Job Details :

• Coverage needed for specific dates : July 28 to Aug 1, Aug 11 to Aug 15, Sept 1 to Sept 5, November 24 week, and Dec 22 to Jan 2
• Perform cardiac anesthesia for a growing cardiac surgery program (projecting 90 heart surgeries this year)
• Assist with general anesthesia cases when cardiac cases aren't scheduled
• Work with a team of 6 anesthesiologists in a hospital-based practice
• Comfortable working with CRNA students rotating through the OR
• Patient demographic includes adolescent, child, adult, and geriatric patients
• Must be TEE certified with ability to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures
• Board Certification in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred (Board Eligible considered)
• Cardiac Fellowship preferred (extensive experience acceptable if TEE certified)
• Active Iowa license or IMLC required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required
• COVID vaccination required

Compensation :
