Global Master Planner - Litho
Semiconductor Technologies Business (ST) is seeking Global Master Planner for its Litho line of business. This position will report to the Global Supply Chain Manager Litho. Litho's primary manufacturing sites are in Marlborough, MA; Cheonan, South Korea; and Sasakami, Japan and also utilizes several contract manufacturers globally to support its customer requirements. The Master Planner is the key role for planning, controlling and scheduling all activities supporting assigned brands or products. The Master Planner balances production and inventory levels with demand to support targets consistent with customer service levels, inventory targets and capacity utilization / staffing requirements. Accountable for developing feasible 3-24 month IBP / S&OP rolling master plans at the family and / or sub-family level, or services and component elements of the products. He or she is responsible for the planned requirements for raw materials, purchased parts and packaging supplies for the 324 month horizon. He or she ensures that business excellence levels are maintained in the master planning functional areas.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to :
- Translates demand requirements and supply capability into a time-phased aggregate supply and inventory plan in monthly resolution over the IBP / S&OP horizon focused on the master planning horizon that satisfies expected demand at the lowest business cost.
- Participates in the IBP / S&OP process and meetings as required.
- Performs resource requirements planning for the family / sub-family aggregate plans for business. Identifies and executes actions necessary to correct capacity problems and develops recommendations for IBP process to deal with capacity constraints in master planning horizon.
- Develops 3-24 month sourcing requirements for raw materials and packaging based on the mid-term production plan and consistent with strategic sourcing strategies and constraints.
- Tracks all master planning metrics and reports appropriately. Leads root cause analysis for key metrics.
- Recommends changes to target inventories, kanbans, inventory turns and safety stocks when necessary to deliver required customer service levels within policy and guidelines.
- Develops appropriate "what if" scenarios for master planning horizon to support the IBP / S&OP plans of the business.
- Assures available inventory is located appropriately to meet the business' distribution strategy while minimizing finished product distribution expense and inventory levels.
- Collaborates with Demand Manager to ensure lead time and resource capacity requirements are considered when reviewing and approving all demands.
- Facilitates communication and interaction with Sales, Marketing, Demand Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Sourcing to effectively balance supply and demand in the master planning horizon via the IBP / S&OP process.
- Ensures all planning parameters and key assumptions are reviewed and updated regularly (e.g. yield, cycle time, up time, shut down days, etc.)
- Defines and identifies the business requirements to maximize the use and value in the planning and scheduling tools implementation and improvement and ensures appropriate education of the use of said tools.
Qualifications :
BS / BA Supply Chain, business, or technical field are preferred.5+ years Supply Chain experience required.Strong leadership and collaboration skills required.Global supply chain experience preferred.Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.APICS CPIM Certification strongly preferred (must be obtained on the job within 18 months).Lean Practitioner preferred.Direct ERP experience required.Competencies / Technical Skills Requirements :
