Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Labor & Delivery for a top healthcare client in Dickson, TN .
This leadership role oversees the Labor and Delivery department during night shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The CNC functions as both a Charge Nurse and Assistant Nurse Manager, supporting staff coordination, patient throughput, and adherence to hospital standards while fostering a culture of teamwork, compassion, and clinical excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.
- Oversee admissions, discharges, and patient flow for efficient department operations.
- Act as the on-site leadership resource for Labor & Delivery, NICU, and Mother-Baby units during overnight hours.
- Provide bedside support, including delivery assistance and OR scrubbing as needed.
- Collaborate with management and educators to improve patient satisfaction, staff engagement, and performance outcomes.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Monitor supply levels, manage scheduling, and ensure compliance with hospital labor productivity goals.
- Support adherence to hospital policies, patient safety initiatives, and clinical quality standards.
Requirements
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing requiredBachelor’s Degree preferredExperience
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience requiredPrior leadership experience in Women’s Health, L&D, NICU, or Mother-Baby units requiredCertifications / Licenses
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licenseBasic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hireAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hireSkills or Competencies
