Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

A company is looking for a Sr Bioinformatics Scientist.

Key Responsibilities

Develop novel assays, algorithms, and models to detect oncology-related biomarkers from NGS data

Design and conduct analyses using genomic and epigenomic knowledge to derive insights from large datasets

Lead and mentor other scientists and engineers while producing documentation and communicating results

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Cancer Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Computer Science

5-10 years of industry or academic experience

Computational skills using Python and / or R

Expertise in developing NGS pipelines for processing and analyzing NGS data

In-depth knowledge of statistical models and predictive or prognostic algorithms
