Business Development Manager - Education

The Business Development Manager - Education will be responsible for :

  • Creating, nurturing, and responding to sales opportunities and closing sales orders within assigned accounts.
  • Creating, managing, and maintaining sales pipelines with assigned accounts.
  • Promoting and selling Avigilon's products and services through direct customer contact.
  • Creating, maintaining, and executing business plans for assigned accounts and strategic alliances.
  • Working with Global Sales Team members to execute and complete business plans.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships at Executive level with all assigned accounts.
  • Servicing and maintaining created partner programs for assigned accounts.
  • Identifying new markets, partnering opportunities, new business plans, and objectives.
  • Overseeing and managing the sale of Avigilon products and services within the assigned accounts.
  • Preparing proposals and quotes for prospective customers, including published prices and information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates.
  • Providing product and sales training to assigned accounts.
  • Identifying key surveillance market influencers, establishing contact, and demonstrating the superiority and utility of our products.
  • Participating in the development of training materials.
  • Providing feedback on end user customer requirements to engineering and operations departments.
  • Developing standardized Strategic Alliance partnership presentations and sales tools.
  • Creating a positive work environment and utilizing team building skills.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of video security solutions sales experience.
  • Experience with selling into the education vertical.
  • Physical security solutions experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with channel strategies and initiatives.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to speak towards our products and solutions.
  • Ability to accurately forecast revenue on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Proven record of achievement in delivering sales results and developing collaborative relationships.
  • Strong understanding of our go-to-market strategy and sales philosophy is required.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Time management skills are required, and candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Must reside and be travel by air and car within territory.
  • Territory to support includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska.
  • Target Base Salary Range : $85,000 - $100,000 USD.

    Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
