Business Development Manager – Oil & Gas

Join Pond & Company, a leading architecture, engineering, and construction firm, to lead new business development in the oil & gas sector.

About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager with 7–10 years of experience selling engineering and design services for pipeline infrastructure and related facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for engineering and design services in the oil & gas and renewable natural gas markets.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities related to pipeline systems, compression facilities, and infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead preparation of proposals, presentations, and sales materials tailored to engineering and design opportunities.
  • Manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and project delivery teams to align technical capabilities with client demands.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and market activity to inform strategic planning.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of business development experience in the oil & gas industry, selling engineering, planning, and design services.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline and compression station design and related permitting and regulatory processes.
  • Demonstrated success in sales forecasting, client engagement, and CRM-based opportunity management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate client needs into actionable project opportunities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time for client meetings, conferences, and business development activities.
  • Passion for innovation and a deep interest in the future of energy infrastructure.
