Job Summary
As a Nursing Assistant (NA) , you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our residents during your scheduled shifts in long-term care. Your responsibilities will include :
- Delivering resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Understanding and addressing the physical and psychological needs of residents as outlined in their care plans.
- Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and obtaining vital signs.
- Providing psychosocial support and personal care to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
- Facilitating safe transfers, repositioning, and mobility using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Creating a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks.
- Documenting resident interactions and communicating any changes in condition to the charge nurse.
- Participating in wellness and recreational programs to encourage resident engagement.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria :
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.Minimum age of 18 years.Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is a plus.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required, or must be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months.For Colorado facilities, Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification may be required.Completion of yearly competency testing and maintenance of continuing education credits (minimum of 12 hours annually).Must be medically qualified to perform essential driving functions if applicable.Benefits
