Chief Technology Officer
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for the technology vision and ensuring its alignment with the overall business goals. This role involves not only the high-level strategic planning for technology adoption and development but also the hands-on administration and optimization of the organizations servers, routers, firewalls, networks, and the Microsoft 365 Exchange environment. The CTO will manage technology budgets, supervise and manage the work of the Systems Administrator, and ensure the seamless and secure operation of all technology infrastructure, including the critical Exchange 365 Email system.
Duties for this position include the following :
Technical
- Perform all duties related to the maintenance of the organizations entire IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, routers, hardware, software, and cloud platforms including Microsoft 365 Exchange.
- Implement anti-spam and anti-virus measures for the organization as well as the Exchange environment.
- Perform backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning for the entire network.
- Onboard new staff members including creating and managing system permissions, user accounts, and profiling user desktops / laptops.
- Manage Active Directory objects related to shared drives, user accounts, and distribution groups.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to prevent network intrusions.
- Manage the more complex tasks and duties of the Website including a general understanding of WordPress, cPanel, and SSL certificates.
- Assist Systems Administrator with help desk support issues and resolution.
Strategic And Supervisory
Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy for projects including office moves that aligns with the organizations mission and objectives.Set strategic goals with a small budget and plan for and recommend refreshes, upgrades, updates, and maintenance schedules.Manage the inventory of all IT equipment.Manage the recruitment, training, and evaluation of the Systems Administrator.Qualifications and requirements :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in information technology, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven experience in architecting, designing, and implementing scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions that will extend to office relocations.Expert knowledge of server architecture, operating systems, virtualization, and cloud platforms to ensure that the infrastructure is robust, secure, scalable, and capable of supporting the companys current and future operations.Solid understanding of firewalls, configuration and their capabilities, limitations, and how they function as a security mechanism is vital for establishing robust security protocols and safeguarding the companys network and assets from threats.Proficient understanding of domain names, how they work, and their role in identifying websites and services is essential for effective domain management and ensuring a secure and reliable online presence for the organization.Proficient understanding of Active Directory (AD) including its security aspects and vulnerabilities.Excellent communication abilities including ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences; ability to respond effectively and diplomatically to sensitive inquiries or complaints.Exceptional independent judgment and professionalism; ability to develop cooperative working relationships with internal staff, board members, vendors, and other stakeholders.Self-motivated and able to work independently; able to set direction and accomplish required tasks with minimal supervision.Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and to manage multiple responsibilities and meet all deadlines.Strong work ethic, commitment to excellence and attention to detail.Must be able to work during employers regular business hours which are Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Employee must also be available to work either before or after regular business hours and on weekends, as needed for IT maintenance or in order to meet a deadline.Please send your Cover Letter and Resume to candisy@workforcepartnership.com.
